Richmond and Hillcroft Adult and Community College provide an impressive environment to support learning. We design and deliver courses to meet the needs, interests and abilities of both adults and young people who wish to learn in an adult environment.
We have an exciting opportunity to join our management team, delivering outreach provision for adults with learning difficulties and/ or disabilities in a range of venues, mostly in the Borough of Merton.
If you are enthusiastic, positive-minded, and have a passion for working with people with a disability, this new role will enable you to manage a small team of teachers and support staff to deliver a vibrant programme of learning for this group. You will liaise with learners, their carers, and community organisations to continually develop and improve the offer.
You will mostly be based in the outreach centres in Merton, although you will attend regular meetings with other RHACC staff at our campuses in Surbiton or Richmond.
The successful candidate will hold a teaching qualification, and will have experience of teaching adults. Your teaching experience may be in any subject including cookery, arts, drama, music, sport etc, although an understanding of the pre-entry core curricula in maths and English would be an advantage. If you have a can-do attitude, this is a rewarding role where you will be making a real difference to people’s lives and life chances.
