A hugely exciting step forward for our school sees the recruitment of an enthusiastic individual to lead and support the academic progress for our pupils, in particular those entitled to the Pupil Premium.
The successful candidate will coordinate a Pupil Premium mentoring programme and will meet with individual pupils as part of that programme to ensure they achieve their full potential and thrive in our school. They will provide advice and guidance to ensure pupils achieve outcomes that will enable them to take their next steps in their chosen pathway.
Effective contact with parents/carers will ensure positive, trusting home-school relationships are fostered and parent engagement in their child’s progress supports positive learning habits. As part of the Pupil Welfare and Inclusion Team, you will support with general pupil welfare, attendance, conduct and safeguarding issues as well as supporting the reactive work of the team during the day.
Hugh Sexey Church of England Middle School, part of the Wessex Learning Trust, is situated in the beautiful rural Cheddar Valley in Somerset, attracting our pupils from the surrounding villages.
