The Successful Candidate
You will have evidence of teaching small groups of children in Key Stage One, with a particular strength in the teaching of reading. You will be able to evidence the design and delivery of successful, targeted reading intervention groups. It is important you are familiar with the reading expectations for Key Stage One children.
You will be familiar with end of Key Stage One assessment with a focus on reading. You will have experience of teaching phonics and be able to evidence how to teach the discreet reading skills of segmenting and blending.
Within this role you will be expected to form supportive and constructive relationships with all staff; a positive, enthusiastic and proactive attitude is essential.
