We are looking for someone who is committed to establishing strong discipline in school. We want someone to lead this team, in ensuring that not only is the RfL room itself silent, and purposeful, but that students are given genuine opportunities, through individual conversations and targeted work with parents, to improve their behaviour and their self - discipline. We are looking for a leader, or an aspirant leader, who is passionate about improving the life chances of children in a school setting. We operate a no - excuses policy to behaviour, and understand that a reason is not the same as an excuse. In order to lead this team successfully you need to be fully aligned with this principle when talking about student behaviour. We are looking for someone who has a keen eye for patterns and detail, and is able to work through rigorous tracking systems to ensure no students fall through the gaps without improving their self - discipline. We need someone who is prepared to work hard for the betterment of the community, ready to have difficult conversations, and excited about working with those whom are hardest to reach.
We are based in central Gloucester which is in a beautiful area of the country and provides access to the Cotswolds, and close proximity to Bristol and Cheltenham. The area we serve is diverse, and therefore, our catchment and students offer a range of expectations and challenges; being able to drive ambitions is key.
