Monday 9th December 2019, 5-7 PM at Castle Mead Academy
We are recruiting teachers, leaders and support staff across all areas. Come along to our recruitment event to find out more about joining Leicester's newest secondary school.
Address: Castle Mead Academy, 31 St Augustine Road, Leicester, LE3 5QS
Parking will be available on site.
Castle Mead Academy will be situated in a very interesting central site by the riverside
in the heart of historic Leicester, close to the Friars Mill regeneration area and the Highcross Shopping Centre, with excellent transport links.
We are fortunate that our high quality temporary accommodation will be adjacent to our permanent academy building, allowing us to grow into our local surroundings. The founding group of year 7 students will be able to shape the design of their new building and see it being built each day as they go about their lessons.
Vision and Values
It is our aim that students leave Castle Mead Academy as articulate, resilient, wellrounded individuals who excel academically, in the arts and on the sporting field. Our
students will learn that success needs hard work and effort, and they will have the support of our staff along their journey. Castle Mead students will enjoy the riches of an ambitious curriculum and will develop key learning habits to equip them to be lifelong learners.
Our motto is ‘growing a community of excellence’. Castle Mead Academy will focus on
realising high academic achievement with a special focus on the EBacc subjects alongside spiritual, moral, social and cultural development. We will be an inclusive community where all will be supported, including parents and carers, to achieve no matter what their starting point or need.
Starting small and growing over the coming years will enable both our students and
staff to be immersed in our vision and values, as we grow to be a community of 1200 students across five year groups and become one of the most successful academies in the country.
