Teacher: £25,714 - £36,961 per annum plus TLR2 of £2,270 – Salary within this pay range only to be agreed at interview.

We wish to appoint an energetic and highly motivated, full-time teacher to join our successful team. This vacancy has emerged due to the current post-holder leaving the school.

Emersons Green is a purpose-designed school, which opened in 2000. We pride ourselves on being a friendly, popular, inclusive community. We cater for 210 pupils, including a Special Needs Resource Base for up to 10 pupils with visual impairment and/or physical disabilities. These children are fully included into the mainstream classes and are supported by Resource Base staff.

We are looking to appoint a dynamic and motivated person to the position of Specialist Resource Base teacher. The pupils in our Resource Base are mostly taught in mainstream classes, supported by Higher Level Teaching Assistants. The Resource Base teacher is responsible for direct 1:1 teaching of these pupils outside of the classroom, primarily working on communication devices and speech and language development. The Resource base teacher also supports class teacher and Teaching Assistants to ensure our Resource Base pupils can be included in the classroom learning.

The post would particularly suit anyone with significant experience of supporting pupils with complex Special Educational Needs, for example someone who has taught in a Special School.
