Salary: Grade 3 £18,562 - £19,698 SP 3-6
pro rata 39 weeks term time only. 32.5 hours per week
Start Date: 1st September, 2021
Temporary for one academic year until 31st August 2022
Required for September 2021.
The Governing Body of Rumney Primary School seeks to appoint caring, kind, enthusiastic, hardworking and committed Teaching Assistants to work in our school. Nurture is at the heart of our school ethos. We are an Attachment & Trauma Sensitive School. An ability to contribute to the warm, nurturing and caring ethos of the school is essential.
The successful candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, initiative and to share in the planning and evaluation of activities. If you are an enthusiastic, hardworking team player then you will fit in well at school.
We are looking to appoint practitioners who are suitably qualified, experienced and committed to supporting children’s learning in a positive environment. We would love to hear from you if are able to:
• Nurture and support children in all areas of development
• Provide a high level of support to meet the individual needs of the children
• Deliver specific programmes of work for Literacy & Numeracy
• Work with colleagues to provide a stimulating and challenging learning environment
• Communicate well with others
Under the Education (Wales) Act 2014, all School Learning Support Workers must be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
Internal candidates who wish to apply for this position on a secondment basis must obtain approval prior to application using Form SEC1 (4.C.081). Requests may only be approved by the relevant Chief Officer or senior nominated officer graded no lower than OM2 or in the case of schools based staff the Headteacher / Governing Body.
