Eastern High - Flourish in Life
We are looking for a highly effective RVE and Humanities teacher to fill a vacancy in our successful, innovative and hardworking team.
This is an exciting opportunity to become a team member within the Humanities Area of Learning Experience (AOLE) at Eastern High. The successful candidate will be joining the area at an important time in its evolution, having the opportunity to shape the teaching and learning experiences of our students and be a key part of implementing and refining the new curriculum. Current members of teaching staff have been working collaboratively to plan a new, engaging and thought provoking KS3 curriculum that encompasses all of the aspects of the Humanities AOLE. We are excited to begin to deliver discrete subject lessons to all of KS3 beginning in September, linking key themes and ideas across Humanities, which are up to date and relevant to our pupils here at Eastern High.
The school occupies a new, state of the art building and is rapidly expanding in terms of pupil numbers. Although designated an 11 - 16 school, we share our new building with Cardiff & Vale College who provide Post 16 provision up to 19 yrs old. It is anticipated that in time we will deliver much of the ‘A’ Level provision taking place on site also.
