Following the retirement of our existing officer, we are looking to appoint a well-organised, experienced and capable school administrative support officer (school secretary), who can manage our busy school office and administrative systems effectively. Experience in managing budgets and financial systems is especially important to succeed in the role. The successful candidate will need to be professional, patient and polite in dealing with many enquiries and requests from staff, pupils, parents and visitors on a daily basis. The successful candidate will also need to be confident in using ICT to manage administration. We are also keen for the successful candidate to take on the role of ‘clerk to the governors’, which includes an additional annual payment. Our admin support officer is assisted by a full time clerical assistant in the school office.
The attached person specification gives further details on what we are looking for in a suitable candidate and the attached job description gives full details of what the role involves. If you have any questions about the role or you are interested in visiting before applying please contact the school.
In return, we can offer a friendly and supportive school community and full training for the role. Our school is large, well resourced and pleasant to work in. Our staff are dedicated, hardworking and friendly. Our children are enthusiastic, cheerful and keen to learn. Our school community (parents and governors) are supportive, proactive and keen to help as much as they can.
