The School: Cotham Gardens Primary School is a large, happy and vibrant 3-form entry primary school within a wonderfully diverse community. We are split over two sites and based within the Cotham area of Bristol city centre.
Salary: Grade BG6, Scale Point N6 to N7. Salary £19,698 to £20,092 (pro-rata), with actual, pro-rated starting salary of £17,151 per annum.
Role: Permanent, 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a mix of start and end times from 08.00am and 16.30pm to cover our office hours (to be discussed and finalised at interview). The role is Term Time Only plus INSET days.
We are looking for a full time (37 hours per week) School Administrator, to be part of our brilliant and busy school office team. Our team is committed to improving the outcomes for our children by providing high quality support to our learning environment, and we want to find a team member who will share our commitment and ethos, and who will make a positive contribution to our team.
The successful candidate will be a positive, calm and professional individual to provide a range of administration and front-of-house tasks in a busy, friendly and fast-paced environment. The role involves both general school administration as well as finance administration. The ideal candidate would therefore have experience in both of these areas, although this is not essential.
They will be able to demonstrate:
• excellent administration skills with a high level of attention to detail
• strong initiative and problem-solving talents
• good IT skills
• willingness and capacity to learn new skills and embrace process improvement
• well-developed communication skills, including front-of-house and an excellent telephone manner
Other desirable skills and experience:
• experience of finance administration
• experience of working in a school office
• SIMS database knowledge
• experience of first aid and safeguarding
