Park School, one of the oldest alternative, human-scale primary schools in England is looking for a dynamic person who understands that the work that happens in the school office makes a significant contribution to the quality of the learning that our children have in the classroom.
Working alongside the headteacher, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Park School, set in the outstanding grounds of the Dartington Estate, we are ambitious about developing the work that we do with children to make it fit for the challenges of the world that we live in.
You will bring a creative and entrepreneurial approach to your work, contributing to the discussions about the strategic direction of the school, leading on modernising how we organise our finances and administration systems. Alongside this, you will be keen to make sure that everything runs smoothly and efficiently.
An excellent communicator, you will be a lead person in our school community, getting to know children, staff and parents. You will drive our publicity and marketing in ways that reflect the ethos and values of the school, showing those who might be interested that Park School offers a very special education that is centred on helping children to take care of themselves, each other and the place they are in.
It is likely that you will be experienced in the school office and will bring a strong knowledge of statutory regulations for schools, you will also have a good understanding of the charity sector and the associated regulations.
The successful candidate will be appointed as Clerk to the Council of Governance and Company Secretary.
