Salary: Hay 7 (£15,832 - £17,254 per annum)
Hours: 22 hours per week. Monday 10am – 2pm. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 10am – 4.30pm. Term time only and an additional 2 weeks. Hours can be flexible where needed.
Due to the transfer of our current SBM to the school finance team at the local authority, we are seeking to appoint a talented, self-motivated, friendly and enthusiastic business manager to join our supportive and hardworking team.
Marshfield C of E VC Primary School is a vibrant, happy and very successful school situated in the picturesque village of Marshfield, a short commute from Bristol, Yate, Bath and Chippenham (just off the A420).
Working alongside the head teacher and senior leadership team, the role involves strategic leadership and management of the financial resources, premises, human resources, health and safety and administrative aspects of the school.
The successful candidate will:
•Have an accountancy qualification or the Certificate of School Business Management or, if not, be willing to undertake this.
•Be a creative thinker who is committed to making the best use of our assets for the good of the children alongside our core values
•Be enthusiastic and self-motivated
•Have a high level of professional discretion and good interpersonal, communication and ICT skills
•The ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively
The successful applicant will be line-managed by the Headteacher and will be responsible for the line management of the administration staff, caretaker and cleaners.
