Ashmount School currently provides education for 183 pupils aged 4 -19 with a wide range of learning
disabilities and is situated in Loughborough. We require a School Manager who has the appropriate qualifications and experience to manage the day to day running of the school.
We are looking for a resourceful, enthusiastic and flexible person to join a highly skilled staff team in providing
an excellent financial and administrative service to the school. The school has been judged as “Outstanding” by Ofsted in its last three inspections. We need staff who can perform consistently at this level.
In January 2014 the school was re-located on the campus of Charnwood College to a purpose-built new 125
place area special school. The new school is a state of-the-art building with excellent facilities designed to further increase the quality of education and care we provide.
Ashmount is also the lead school of the Loughborough Learning Alliance Teaching School whose office is based within the school. Ashmount was awarded National Teaching School status in 2014.

The hours of work are 37 per week during term-time plus an additional three weeks during the year. This is an
excellent opportunity for an individual with relevant experience and ambition to join our successful team.
We are looking for someone who is committed to encouraging and maintaining high standards in all aspects of the day to day running of our school. He/she will require excellent communication, problem-solving and negotiation skills, be enterprising, creative and flexible. He/she will have significant proven experience of business management and financial, HR experience.
The successful candidate will also be a member of the senior leadership team. Understanding the nature of our pupils and being willing to interact with them sensitively is an integral part of the job for anyone who works at Ashmount.
