SCIENCE AND FOOD TECHNICIAN
Fixed Term to 31 August 2020
32 hours per week x 39.4 weeks per annum (term time plus 1.4 weeks)
Start and finish times to be flexible to support College need
Grade D: £19554 – £21589 pa pro rata (actual salary: £14502 - 16011 per annum)
We are seeking to appoint a Science/ Food Technology Technician who will deal with a wide variety of work up to GCSE level (and occasionally A-level) in all three science areas and food technology. This is a fixed term post starting as soon as possible to 31 August 2020 due to a review of Technician hours.
To apply you will ideally:
• Be qualified (at least A-level science).
• Have some experience in a school or industrial setting.
• Be an effective communicator, with strong interpersonal skills.
• Be a strong contributor to a team.
You will also have a secure understanding of health and safety procedures. You will be enthusiastic, organised and methodical, with excellent attention to detail. The ability to prioritise a busy workload is essential; as is the need to meet deadlines whilst being flexible in order to manage interruptions. Training will be available.
