Details of the role
The post holder will support the teaching and learning carried out in science subjects at our Medway site but support in at our Maidstone site may be required. The successful candidate must have strong practical skills in chemistry and physics but specifically a biology specialism is required. You will need to be able to accurately prepare solutions and other lesson resources; setting out apparatus and equipment for student experiments, demonstrations and examinations. You will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all the science areas and stock and chemical databases. Knowledge of microbiology is a necessity. Resourcefulness and ability to work flexibly and reliably with minimum supervision are key requirements of this post. You should also be interested in the education of students and willing to assist in their learning.
Interviews will be held on 20 January 2020 at our Gillingham campus.
The successful applicants will be prepared to undergo training as required and be well qualified with a relevant science qualification, preferably to degree standard. Previous experience of working in the role is essential.
