We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Practitioner who can listen brilliantly, and support and guide students to make good choices.
You will be running wellbeing interventions in small groups, or one to one, for students experiencing social, emotional and mental health difficulties. This could include learning how to keep friendships, take responsibility, feel more confident, moderate their language and so on.
Training resources have been developed by our SEMH Manager and you would be expected to work with these and contribute other resources to meet the needs of our students. You must be keen to work with evidence-informed practice. We can provide strong CPD, and opportunities to develop.
We welcome applicants for this role who are experienced in pastoral support / personal development, ideally in a diverse school environment.

This role has been identified as falling within the definition of requiring fluency in spoken English. You will be required to speak English with confidence and be able to conduct a conversation and answer questions for extended periods of time.
The ability to speak a community language such as Somali, Polish or Arabic, in addition to English, is desirable.
