Employer: Nova Primary School
Contract: Fixed Term Contract linked to funding – to be reviewed at the end of term 6 2022
Start Date: As soon as possible
Nova Primary School is focussed on shaping tomorrow’s generation, today. We require a highly motivated and skilled Learning Support Assistant to work with a child in KS1 who has a diagnosis of Autism. This is a fixed term contract with a review in Term 6 2022, based upon continuation of funding and/or if the child is still attending our setting. You will join a hard-working, committed team of supportive professionals.
The successful candidate will be calm, caring and have a commitment to develop the learning and well-being of children. A high standard of English and Maths is required and knowledge/ experience of special educational needs, specifically autism, will be important.
We are looking for someone who is creative, can quickly build strong and supportive relationships and accelerate children’s learning and can utilise a range of strategies to help some of our most vulnerable pupils reach their potential, academically and personally. In your role you will work both inside and outside the classroom and must therefore be flexible, organised and a good communicator (with both children and staff). You will join a dedicated, supportive team who are committed to raising attainment for all and developing the child as an individual.
What we can offer in return:
- Creative and enthusiastic children who have a love for learning;
- A friendly, supportive staff team and inclusive community;
- A dedicated team of learning support assistants and learning mentors with a focus on positive inclusion in school;
- Regular opportunities for professional development and training both in-house and through outside agencies;
- A supportive and comprehensive staff well-being offer, together with free membership to our schools advisory service which includes access to free counselling, 24/7 GP phone and video consultations and physiotherapy, to name a few;
- Free on-site staff parking;
We encourage all potential candidates to visit our fantastic school site to see for yourself what amazing facilities we have on offer, but to also get a feel for the school yourselves. If you would like to arrange a visit, please contact Kay Crawford, our office manager, to arrange a time that is suitable.
Application Closing date: Wednesday 16th February at 9am
