Hours: 15 Hours per week, term time only (Monday to Friday 8.45am – 11.45am)
Salary: Hay 9 (£7,486 – 8,599 per annum)
This is a temporary post subject to funding that will end when the funding ceases or the child leaves the school.
Mangotsfield C of E Primary School is a large, friendly and highly regarded Church of England School, judged as ‘Outstanding’ by Ofsted.
We require an enthusiastic and energetic person who is trained or has experience working with children with significant social and communication difficulties as well as sensory needs.
This post will suit candidates who are committed to providing the best learning opportunities for their pupil and who are committed to developing themselves professionally. They will have excellent inter personal and communication skills and will have previous experience of working with children with special educational needs.
The successful applicant will be required to work closely with the Class Teacher, Parents, Special Needs Coordinator and Outside Agencies. They will be supportive, flexible and able to use their initiative in developing sensory activities and games that support the development of the child’s independent social skills with his peers.
The post will be supporting a child in Year 1 and is subject to school funding.
