Salary: Hay 10 (£11,866 - £12,844 per annum)
Hours: 26 hours, 15 minutes, Monday to Friday
This is a temporary post that will end when the funding ceases or the child leaves the school.
We are looking to appoint a Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a mainstream reception class supporting a child who has a primary need of Global Developmental Delay. The successful candidate will have experience of supporting children who need support with
•Expressive communication skills; sharing thoughts and feelings and saying what she wants
•Receptive language skills; difficulty understanding the expectations of others outside the context of routines
•Concentration and attention
•developing play skills
•Fine and gross motor skills and core strength
•Self-care and independence skills
The hours for this post are 26.25 hours, (Mon-Fri), term time only (exact times will be agreed at Interview).
The person appointed will require a good standard of general education, normally evidenced by 3 or more GCSEs (including Maths and English) at Grade C or above, or other equivalents. Previous experience of working with children in a primary educational setting is required and some vocational training/qualification in the care, development or education of children would be desirable.
