This is a temporary post that will end when the funding ceases or the child leaves the school
Pucklechurch Primary is a wonderful village school between Bristol and Bath. We are looking for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join our energetic, enthusiastic teaching team as soon as possible.
The post concerns a pupil in year 4 with an Education Health Care Plan (EHCP).
We are looking for someone who has experience supporting children with SEN, but specifically someone who can demonstrate patience, compassion and the ability to provide a consistently nurturing presence. You will be supporting the child in the class throughout the day with specific targets and inclusion in the mainstream class routines. Ideally, you will have experience of supporting children with SEMH barriers to learning, for example Thrive training, Emotional Literacy Support Assistant training or Zones of Regulation training. A good understanding of safeguarding practice is also required for this post.
Unfortunately, visits to the school are not currently possible due to measures in place to combat the spread of Covid 19. When requesting an application form, you will also be sent a link to a video that you can watch which is a virtual tour of the school, to enable you to get a feel for the building and hear about the school’s values and priorities. The interview process will also be conducted remotely.
The closing date for applications is:- Friday 4th September 2020 at Midday.
If you have the experience and skills needed to support this child, then we would really like to meet you.
