Salary: Hay 10 (£12,694 - £13,491 per annum)
Hours: 27 hours 30 minutes per week, Monday to Friday, 8:50am – 12 and 1pm – 3.20pm
This is a temporary post that will end when the child leaves the school or the funding ceases.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and pro-active SEN Teaching Assistant to work with a year 4 learner with an ‘Education and Health Care Plan’ (EHCP) for sensory processing disorder, social communication difficulties and anxiety. Knowledge and experience of working with children with a statement for specific educational needs or an education and health care plan would be beneficial, and in particular experience/ an understanding of autism and/or EAL learners.
The post will be on a temporary basis subject to the funding ceasing or the child moving to a new school.
The successful candidate must have excellent people skills, be a real team player, be well organised and be able to communicate effectively with all members of the school community and the family of the child. Team Teach training would be an advantage.
