Hours: 15 Hours per week, term time only (Monday to Friday 9am – 12pm plus 5 inset days)
Salary: Hay 9 (£8,012 – £8,846 per annum)
This is a temporary post that is subject to funding and will come to an end when the funding ceases or the child leaves the school.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a child in year 6 working to achieve his EHCP objectives and preparation for transition into secondary school. After joining us during 2018, this child quickly settled in as part of our school community demonstrating the following qualities: -

You will be working as part of a supportive and experienced team consisting Class Teacher, experienced teaching assistants, SENDCo, Pastoral Support, external agencies and parent/carer. The ability to develop positive relationships with all stakeholders is essential to this role.
Under the direction of the class teacher, the successful candidate will provide an educational and nurturing support programme, which meet the needs of this child, alongside helping this child to prepare for transition to secondary school.
Experience of working with children who demonstrate cognitive and learning difficulties would be desirable.
