Surrey Pay PS3 £18,013.00 FTE
£12,582.60 pro rata for 30 hours per week, term time only
We are looking for enthusiastic and conscientious TAs who have the ability to work as part of a team and want to make a real difference in children’s education. We are looking for a full time and part time teaching assistant for September 2021.
Work will be on both on a 1:1 basis and with small groups supporting the development and education of pupils, including those with special needs. The right applicants will have patience and the ability to help a vulnerable child understand the world around them and progress towards their potential. Applicants should have good communication skills and some experience of behaviour management and/or knowledge of ADHD or ASD.
If you have ever considered a career in teaching, a position such as these would enable you to gain experience in the classroom with the vision of moving into teaching. We not only encourage progression into teaching, we can assist with that development as we are part of the SCITT (School Centred Initial Teacher Training) in partnership with Surrey South Farnham Partnership.
This post is a term-time only, temporary contract. Surrey schools are allocated specific funding to support children with identified special needs and the funding depends upon the number of children and their assessed needs. It is for this reason these contracts will be on a temporary contract for the duration we receive SEN funding for the child/ren.
