We are looking to appoint a SENCO to work in partnership with our new Head and incoming Deputy to lead a dynamic and forward thinking inclusion team. If you enjoy challenge, innovation and change, have confidence in your own ability and a good sense of humour, then Epsom Downs is the school for you.
We are looking for a SENCO who is an experienced, creative and dynamic classroom practitioner with at least four years teaching experience. You must have high expectations and a commitment to inclusion and achievement for all children. This role is for 3.5 days per week and we are happy to discuss a flexible working pattern at interview.

Our new Headteacher is looking to create a new inclusion team to support any children with barriers to learning including special educational needs, disability, social care, interventions or emotional wellbeing. The SENCo will be an integral part of this team and the SLT which are led by the Headteacher.
This role will be to focus on children with special educational needs and involves time for the SENCo to work alongside teachers and TAs encouraging best practice.
We are extremely proud of our focus on outdoor activities and our children have an amazing array of enrichment activities involving gardening, cycling skills, animal care, healthy living to name a few. We have an integrated Day Nursery and Family Centre on site as well as a many facilities to support our ethos to successfully include all children with SEN and disabilities. We offer an inclusive curriculum to ensure the best possible progress for all children whatever their needs or abilities.
