Marriott Primary School are looking to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and highly committed individual to join our extended leadership team as SENCO. We are seeking a self-motivated and innovative leader to further drive forward the teaching and learning of SEND pupils. The post holder will have responsibility for the day to day running of SEND, including running a nurture unit for SEND children with a variety of different needs from across the school, and the provision for LAC children. The role is demanding and challenging but very rewarding and so we need a SENCO who is proactive, passionate and a model of good practice for all teaching staff.

The successful candidate will either already have the National Award for SENCOs or be prepared to gain the qualification within the first year.
Marriott had a very successful OFSTED inspection in April 2017 and has been graded GOOD in all areas.
This is a full time position and requires someone who:
• is exceptionally well organised and efficient
• is used to dealing with a diverse workload
• has experience of liaising with other professionals
• has excellent communication skills
• has experience of working closely with parents
