SEND Teaching Assistant to commence employment September 2021
SCP Grade 5 – 6, £18,795 - £19,171(pro-rata), 15 hours per week, term time only. Ideally this would be every morning from 0900-1200
Combe Down Primary School are looking to recruit an outstanding Teaching Assistant with skills and expertise to support high expectations for learning. The Teaching Assistant would be supporting a child in year 5 with an Education, Health Care Plan. We are looking for a warm, caring individual who can offer an exceptional level of care and foster the child’s independence whilst developing strategies to support the child’s social and emotional difficulties. The successful candidate would have clear and consistent boundaries.
Experience of Thrive and of working with children who have had the following needs would be beneficial:
- Emotional wellbeing
- Social communication skills
We are looking for someone to motivate, support and encourage the pupil to fully access the curriculum and school life. Experience of attachment would be beneficial.
This role is dependent on individual pupil funding and therefore is a temporary position and will continue until such time as the funding ceases and/or the child leaves the school if this is earlier.
