William Morris Primary, situated in beautiful Tadpole Garden Village, is housed in a purpose-build new building. By September 2021 we will have children from nursery to Year 2, growing to become a 2 form entry school primary school.
William Morris Primary School is a friendly, happy place where children are known and cared for. Teachers and pupils treat each other with respect and kindness which allows children to be challenged and stretched, helping them to persevere and achieve their potential. Our curriculum is creative and enables children to explore in different ways – using hands on experiences and interesting stimuli. We believe in innovative teaching that engages pupils’ interests and inspires a love of learning. Our life skills curriculum will run alongside the national curriculum to ensure children are taught personal development and become confident all rounded citizens.
The new school building is spacious and purpose built, including a large hall, cookery room and library area. All our classrooms are bright and vibrant, installed with new equipment and resources, and have direct access to outdoor learning areas. Our school site also incorporates an attractive field and pond area which is utilised for learning, PE and sports.
Our new free school is part of The Blue Kite Academy Trust, based in Swindon who are increasing in size and offer excellent CPD and career opportunities.
William Morris has a growing staff team – we are a happy group and very supportive of one another. Everyone works hard to give the best education possible to the children. We want to support every child to do their best and nurture each individual within their class setting
We are looking for a knowledgeable, committed SENDco to join our team for a day a week, hours may increase as our numbers grow, who:
• Is skillful in working with pupils with a range of different abilities and needs – SEND, LAC, Pupil Premium, EAL G&T
• Has knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice & holds the National SENDco Qualification (desirable)
• Is an excellent teacher with a good knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Is able to advise and support teachers with inclusive practice for children with varying needs
• Has excellent communication skills including diplomacy, resilience and strategic thinking
• Experience of chairing TAC meetings

Salary: MS/UPS plus TLR2 £2,873 pa
