New City College is the dynamic group of further education colleges in East London which comprises Tower Hamlets College, Hackney Community College, Epping Forest College Redbridge College, Havering College of Further & Higher Education and Havering Sixth form College. Our 6-college merger places the group at the forefront of further education in the region. We have a large, dynamic and highly successful ESOL directorate with provision across six East London campuses. Within the Directorate we offer a wide range of adult learning programmes including ESOL qualifications, Functional Skills and Employability. We also offer study programmes for 16-18s with a strong emphasis on progression to vocational or academic studies.

Senior Curriculum Manager – ESOL (Tower Campus)
We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring and committed Senior Curriculum Manager to have responsibility for an area of accreditation and a site in Tower Hamlets. Reporting to the Group Curriculum Director for ESOL, the Senior Curriculum Manager is a second tier manager within our directorate structure. The core purpose of a Senior Curriculum Manager is to drive up standards and ensure an excellent student experience. As well as teaching to a high standard you will be expected to line-manage a large team of teachers, undertake observations of teaching and learning, support the planning, monitoring and evaluation of the curriculum and work effectively within the SCM team to support day to day operations, curriculum development, quality improvement and the strategic aims of the both the ESOL directorate and the wider college.
It is essential that candidates have a relevant degree or equivalent qualification, are fully qualified and it would be desirable to have both management and teaching experience in this curriculum area.
