Senior Learning Support Assistant - Foundation
(Full-time, Permanent, Term Time Only + 2 weeks – 40 weeks per year - Job Share considered for right applicants)
We have an exciting opportunity for a talented, highly motivated and dedicated individual to lead a team of Learning Support Assistants at BCA. Responsibilities will include managing, mentoring and developing the team to ensure our learners are appropriately supported to achieve their learning goals and potential.
Working under the direction of the SENCo and Head of Department, you will be involved in recruiting and inducting new LSAs, supporting your team’s performance development, helping to create department timetables and providing class cover as and when required. As Senior Learning Support Assistant you will lead by example and bring out the best in others.
The successful candidate will have knowledge and awareness of a variety of approaches to supporting learners, alongside experience of similar work with post-16 learners. You will be adaptable and resourceful, have excellent communication skills, be able to work as part of a team and have strong IT skills. Previous experience of leading a team is also highly desirable.
