Senior Maintenance Assistant - with electrical qualifications
We have a vacancy for a senior maintenance assistant to join our site team. The purpose of this role is to carry out a comprehensive range of maintenance and security services on the school premises, thereby ensuring a safe, efficient and fit for purpose working environment. The school has a wide variety of maintenance requirements and whilst every member of the team is expected to turn their hand to any maintenance or caretaking task, an element of specialisation is required. Therefore, to compliment the skills of the existing team we are keen to appoint someone who is qualified to undertake electrical work.
Working under the direction of the Site Manager, we are looking for someone who is flexible and practical in their approach to tasks, who has relevant training to undertake electrical work, a good knowledge of general maintenance and who can work well as part of a team.
Normal working hours for this position will be 36 hours Monday - Friday from 8:00 - 16:15 (16:00 on Friday) over 52 weeks per year. However, it is important that the successful candidate is flexible since these working hours may be subject to change depending on the needs of the school and the priorities of the day.
The Maintenance Team consists of 3 Senior Maintenance Assistants, , three janitors, and two Sports Hall Attendants.
The salary for the post is Surrey Pay Scale 6 £24,780 to £27,317. Salary is paid in 12 equal monthly instalments.
