Stanley Park Junior School is unique for its supportive, nurturing atmosphere where all staff work collaboratively to ensure that our children get the best possible experience whilst at our school. We are a Foundation School in the London Borough of Sutton and were rated 'Good' in our last Ofsted in April 2018. We are a successful, caring and happy school that prides itself on a strong and stable staff team. In order to support a pupil with an EHCP we need to expand our team of hard working talented Teaching Assistants.
The vacancy is for 14 hours per week, term time only. Working hours will be, Monday 9-12.15, Tuesday 9-3.20, Wednesday 11.15-12.15, and Friday 9-3.20. The successful applicants will work 1:1 or in small groups supporting children with EHCPs across key stage 2 .
The successful applicant will hold at least NVQ2 or equivalent and will have experience of successfully working with children with additional needs. They will have good communication skills and the ability to relate positively to children and adults. They will be flexible, resourceful and able to show initiative. They will need to have a commitment to the happiness, well-being and progress of everyone at the school and a sense of pride in all that they do.
As this vacancy is connected to EHCPs, the contract is dependent on specific children remaining at the school and may be terminated if circumstances change.
Salary will be paid at either Scale 3/4 or 4/5 depending on qualifications and experience. ( pro-rata to £22,185 - £26,520)
