Sessional Lecturer - Floristry
College location: East Surrey College (Redhill)
Hourly pay rate: £24.26/hour (£20.35/hour + £3.91/hour as payment for annual leave)
Hours: Friday morning (hours TBC)
We are currently seeking to appoint an inspirational and enthusiastic Floristry Tutor to join our Art, Design & Media department.
In this hourly paid lecturing post you will deliver teaching and learning on our Community Learning Courses in Floristry. You will work closely with the Head of Department, Programme Manager and the rest of the Art, Design & Media team, and have the chance to share your knowledge and skills with learners to help them achieve at the highest level as well as driving continuous improvement within the College.
You will act as a personal tutor, promote attendance and contribute to the planning, development and review activities within your subject area.
The successful candidate will:
•Ideally hold a relevant industry degree or equivalent professional qualification
•Have a broad skill set in Floristry and flower arranging
•Have previous teaching experience and proven experience of providing outstanding support for learners.
•Ideally hold a full qualification in the teaching of adults; Certificate in Education/ DTLLS or equivalent (or working towards).
Successful candidates will join our “bank” of hourly paid staff and will be allocated work on a flexible basis.
