Are you currently working in education and looking for a new challenge? Are you passionate about making a difference to the lives of young people with SEN/D? Do you want a job where you will experience genuine job satisfaction?
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced and driven SEN/D practitioner to work in our Eat London project to support young people to thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.
The Really NEET Project is a Post 16 Training Provider that works with 16-24 year olds with SEN/D who are currently NEET or at risk of being NEET (not in education, employment or training). Our approach is very much person centered and based around meeting the needs of the learners. Students are taught either one-to-one or in small groups (never more than 10 students, though typically around 5), so being able to build relationships is at the heart of what we do.
Our primary aim is to make education accessible to vulnerable young people aged between 16-25 years of age who have struggled to cope in mainstream education. Many of our learners have multiple complex barriers to education so a huge part of what we do takes place outside of the educational aspect of our programmes. By assessing the needs of each individual learner we can create a bespoke support package designed to remove/reduce the barriers to give our learners the best possible chances of achieving success. To date we have supported over 600 young people through our programmes and we are currently running projects in South Yorkshire & East London.
If you want to work somewhere that values both its staff and students, then Really NEET would welcome your application.
The Really NEET Project is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We particularly welcome applications from under represented groups including ethnicity, gender, transgender, age, disability, sexual orientation or religion.
