We are looking for the right person to join our team as a Special Needs Assistant, supporting a child in Year 3 to access the curriculum and support meeting sensory needs. Knowledge of ASD and ADHD would be beneficial.
The successful candidates will be required to support a child with additional needs, including Attention Deficient Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in order to enable them to fully access the teaching and learning to reach their potential. At times this will include working with groups of children, both in and outside of the classroom, under the guidance of the Class Teacher and Special Needs Coordinator. Full training will be provided for all aspects of this role.
Due to the nature of academic funding for children with Special Needs this post is classified as temporary, but will continue in line with available funding.
