William Cobbett Primary School is a thriving school in the north of Farnham, Surrey with 484 pupils on roll. The school is set out over two sites which share a boundary and has excellent facilities and grounds. We also have a High Coin Centre with inclusion being a very important part of school life.
We are looking for a confident and enthusiastic Special Needs Assistant (SNA) to provide 1:1 support for a child in Early Years with additional needs. This will include helping to access learning and to support with emotional regulation and social interaction. We require someone who is empathetic, resilient and flexible and ideally has experience of working with children with additional needs.
Skills and experience required
• Experience of working with children at Reception or Key Stage 1. It would be of benefit to have experience of working with children with additional needs
• Excellent communication skills and someone who thrives as part of a team
• Minimum of A-C grades in Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent)
We will provide full training to enable you to fulfil the role required. Training may include delivering various interventions, learning about strategies to support learning, self-regulation, sensory needs and positive behaviour management strategies.
Hours for this position
25 hours per week (Mon – Fri)
The full time equivalent annual salary for this position is £18,013 (S3).
