Eagle House School, Mitcham is a ‘good’ (Ofsted Nov 2019) broad spectrum special school for pupils aged from 4 to 12 years who have a diagnosis of autism or Asperger Syndrome. Due to the rising numbers of parents seeking to place their children at our school we need high quality SEN teachers to meet this demand. Applicants must have specialist knowledge and experience of teaching children with autism, either from working in a special school, or from working in a mainstream school that has excellent ASD practice and provision. We will provide you with a full induction programme and outstanding training in autism practice to develop your skills further.

If successful, you will be responsible for teaching a class of 4 to 6 pupils assisted by a minimum of 3 Learning Support Assistants. Your responsibilities will include line managing your LSAs, planning schemes of work with your teaching colleagues, setting PDP (IEP) targets, delivering high quality lessons and assessing pupils’ achievement and progress.
