Specialist Teacher of pupils with Speech, Language and Communication Difficulties including Autistic Spectrum Disorder based at TY TREVITHICK, ABERCYNON
Salary Scale: Teachers’ Salaries + plus SEN2 Allowance (£3,373)
Rhondda Cynon Taf Access and Inclusion Service is seeking to appoint an appropriately qualified and experienced specialist teacher of pupils with speech, language and communication difficulties including autistic spectrum disorder from 1st September 2021.
Ideally, the successful applicant will have experience of working with pupils with additional learning needs, including Speech and Language difficulties and Autistic Spectrum Disorder, and will have undertaken relevant specialist professional in line with LA requirements.
The team is committed to the principles of early intervention and multi-disciplinary working. You will support schools with a variety of assessments, strategies and training opportunities that will enable them to build capacity to meet the needs of such learners. You will be able to work with learners attending both mainstream primary and secondary schools across Rhondda Cynon Taf. You will help schools to make the necessary adjustments to enable pupils with SLCN to thrive in a mainstream setting.
