An exciting opportunity has arisen for a strong candidate to support teaching and learning at Brimsham Green School in Yate, South Gloucestershire. This role is varied, and we are looking for an adaptable, flexible and resourceful individual able to cope in a high-pressure environment and deal with constantly changing priorities.
As part of our Resource Base team your role will involve supporting an identified student with complex needs in the areas of Social, Emotional and Mental Health. You will work with a wide range of teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning to students in groups and on a one-to-one basis. You will need an enthusiasm for education and be committed to supporting and working with young people.
The role of Specialist Teaching Assistant will commence as soon as possible and is offered as a temporary contract (subject to continuing funding for a specific SEN student). Hours: 8.45am – 3.15pm Mon-Fri (including one hour unpaid break) Salary: Hay-9 (SP14) £14,689 per annum (rising to £16,217) for 27.5 hours per week, term-time only plus 5 INSET days (39 weeks per year).
