Work Pattern: 36 hours per week, Term time only + 5 INSET days
Salary info: £22,170 – £28,981 NJC points 15 - 26 (equivalent to NHS Band 5)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual with experience of working with children and adolescents with special educational needs.
The successful candidate will be working within an established multidisciplinary team, within an SEN secondary school recently OFSTED rated as Good. You will be working with students aged 11-19 years who have a wide variety of conditions including autistic spectrum disorder, global developmental delay, respiratory, neurological and neuromuscular pathologies.
Candidates will need to be able to work well as part of the MDT and wider school team. This post provides many exciting opportunities including assessment, group work, one to one therapy and class-based interventions, working in collaboration with teaching staff, occupational therapy, physiotherapy and rehabilitation assistants.
The MDT are responsible for integrating clinical intervention across all aspects of the educational curriculum ensuring that pupils are able to readily access and engage in learning. All therapy staff are supported by the MDT lead and by senior clinicians across the therapy disciplines.
