St Elizabeth’s Centre is situated in 68 acres of blissful Hertfordshire parkland between Harlow and Bishop’s Stortford. We support children, young people and adults with Epilepsy and other complex needs of all ages in our Children’s Home, School, College, Residential Home and Day Centre. Over 150 adults and children call St Elizabeth’s their home; making us an inspirational place to do great work.
Our Health Agency is committed to providing high quality, holistic person-centred therapy and support enabling people to maximise their potential. We also work in partnership with GP’s, Psychiatrists, and lead Neurologists from both Great Ormond Street and the National Hospital for Epilepsy.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, organised and compassionate Speech & Language Therapist to join our busy and friendly therapy team. You will work closely with colleagues of all disciplines to further develop the provision of Speech and Language Therapy and be responsible for providing clinical assessment, reports, therapy programmes, advice and training as an integrated resource across St Elizabeth’s. Working with the team you’ll take a holistic approach to support the needs of our service users, improving their quality of life by promoting their wellbeing and self-advocacy.
You’ll be a positive person who possess excellent professional skills, has knowledge of potential communication and dysphagia difficulties associated with the Learning Disability population and knowledge of assessment tools and a range of appropriate therapeutic interventions relevant to the client group.
