Sports Teacher, Cover Supervisor and Pastoral Support
Pay band – Unqualified Teacher Scale (point 1-5 depending of level of experience)
Start Date – Friday 28th August (or as soon as possible after this date)
Temporary 1 year contract with the potential to be made permanent
Old Basford School are looking to appoint an energetic and passionate individual, who has an engaging and motivating teaching style to deliver an outstanding PE curriculum across our entire school (Nursery to Y6). The successful candidate would join a school that has a strong and established reputation for sporting participation and achievement in the City of Nottingham, they would have the full support of the school in taking our sporting provision to the next level. Key to the role is establishing strong relationships with all pupils and the ability to inspire young minds. The role would also involve being a key member of our pastoral team, supporting individual pupils to believe in themselves and reach their full potential. Occasionally the role may require the successful candidate to deliver/cover literacy and numeracy lessons, pre-planned and prepared by the class teacher. The school has a proud tradition of residentials that run annually for all pupils from Year 2-6, the successful candidate would lead the organisation and preparation of all residential visits alongside a member of the senior leadership team.
