Easton Campus, Permanent, 1 day per week, 40 weeks per year (Term Time + 4 weeks), £21,000 pro-rata per annum (approx. £3,738 gross per annum)
We have an exciting career opportunity as we are looking for an ambitious, hardworking and professional individual to join our Student Services Team at Easton Campus as a Student Advisor.
This role is for one day per week (7.5 hours per week), working on Wednesday. Please note this is a 40 week per year role which is Term Time plus 4 weeks.
As a Student Advisor you will be dedicated to providing an outstanding student experience and be passionate about supporting students feel successful both personally and professionally. You will also support students across all of the curriculum areas to help them to achieve their potential. Where appropriate, designated responsibility will be assigned for specific student support roles in activities and functions such as ‘Student Voice'.
The role will involve a range of duties, including: enrolment and non-academic student support, facilitation of 1:1 meetings as well as providing the "Student Centre" for all other student support related activities. Within the team of Student Advisers you will work together with other staff organising and participating in internal and sometimes external events and other activities to market the College and recruit students. This role primarily takes the support for students from the position of post-applications, that is, from interview stage onwards and through out their journey through the College.
To be successful you will have experience of working with students / young people from a wide range of backgrounds, and have the ability to engage and be proactive to deliver the best possible service. You will be able to work independently, deal with sensitive issues tactfully and with diplomatically and all you can to ensure our students progress successfully while using evidenced based research to drive improvements.
