We are looking to appoint an inspirational person to join our outstanding Student and Family Engagement Team (SAFE Team) at Wey Valley College (WVC) which is a 5-16 Pupil Referral Unit in Guildford. This role is for 36 hours a week, Monday to Friday, term time only. The successful candidate will have a passion for supporting vulnerable young people to achieve their potential. They will have experience of mentoring young people, a good all-round knowledge of supporting the education of students in Pupil Referral Units, excellent organisational schools and a good sense of humour.
The successful candidate will be: -
- Passionate about inclusion supporting all students to gain an inspirational education both academically and pastorally.
- An outstanding practitioner with high expectations of pupils’ achievement and behaviour who is committed to providing high quality pastoral support.
- Able to maintain and drive forward outstanding standards whilst meeting the needs of a very vulnerable group of students.
- An excellent communicator who is able to work inclusively with students, staff, parents and external professionals.
