An excellent opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, learner-focused, inspirational individual to be involved in an exciting new venture at Barnsley College, taking on the role of Student Support Worker in the Direct Entry department. The College introduced Direct Entry provision for 14-16 year olds from September 2019 where students who are enrolled become full-time students at the College. The provision is aimed at young people who are not benefitting from school and are motivated by a more practical curriculum.

37 hours per week, 41 weeks per year (mainly term-time)
£16,767.55 - £17,680.82 (actual salary)
The Department is seeking to appoint a Student Support Worker to assist with the successful delivery of student learning. Individuals who feel that they can take on this role should be able to demonstrate a passion for working with and supporting young people with a range of personal, social and emotional challenges. Having experience of working in this area would be an advantage but is not essential. All applicants must be able to demonstrate their commitment to providing an outstanding learning environment where learners are supported to personalise and self-direct their own learning.
