Job Title: Systems Technician, Systems Team
Hours Worked: 37 per week. Full Time
Salary Grade: Scale 2/3 (Depending on experience)
Responsible to: Systems Manager
SLT Link: Director of Business and Operations
We are seeking to appoint a flexible team player with a flair for supporting the many ICT Systems within the school. We expect candidates selected for interview will be able to demonstrate that they are honest, trustworthy, hardworking and have a passion for making a real difference within our school community. When fully staffed, the systems team consists of a manager and 2 technicians. The team works hard to support an ever evolving range of technologies way beyond traditional ICT support such as installing computers, printers and classroom media. In recent years the demand has extended to include the technical management and integration of site wide systems such the telecommunication network, security and safety energy management. This means the role is varied and wide ranging – In a recent art block expansion project the team designed and installed door and gate access control, CCTV and ICT hardware in additional to equipping 3 computers with multimedia.
The general pattern of working is a start time between 7.30-8.30am and 3.30-4.30pm (depending on needs and events). This allows support for morning assembles or working later in the afternoon. Occasional support for evening for events will be required. I have included an overview of ICT Systems at Nunnery Wood, a job description and person specification which I hope will give you an insight as to the expectations within this role.
If you feel that you would like to submit a formal application, can you please ensure that this is received by our personnel department no later than noon on Monday 14th December 2020. Should you be successfully shortlisted, we will contact you to attend an interview on Thursday 17th.
