TA to work in KS2, supporting a child with medical and learning needs

The Infant and Junior schools are federated and are located on two adjoining sites in the heart of the Ottershaw community. The schools have a capacity of 460 pupils plus a 26 full-time place, on-site nursery.
We would like to employ a Teaching Assistant in KS2 to support a child with medical and learning needs, who is first and foremost the right person for Ottershaw Schools. You will be required to work collaboratively with the classteacher to meet the needs of the pupil.
This is a fixed term post initially (3rd September 2019 to 31st August 2020), with the possibility of further employment. The daily hours are 8.45 am to 3.20 pm, term time only, with some flexibility on hours. You will be required to work as a Midday Meals Supervisor for 1.17 hours per day. The total pay for the 31.25 hours is £12,028 pa and this comprises 25.4 hours as a TA (actual pay £9,820, FTE £16,497) and 5.85 hours as a Midday Meals Supervisor (actual pay £2,207, FTE £16,353). These salaries will be reviewed on 1st September.
The successful applicant will have:
- Experience of working with young children of all abilities
- An understanding of the Primary Curriculum
- GCSE or equivalent in Maths and English (essential)
- A level 3 NVQ or equivalent in Childcare/Early Years or Education (preferable)
- A level 2 NVQ or equivalent in Childcare/Early Years or Education (essential).
