This is a fixed term position required for 16.25 hours per week, until 31/12/2020
Portfield School caters for pupils with a range of severe and complex learning difficulties, autistic spectrum disorders and sensory impairments.
All teachers at Portfield School may be required to teach throughout Foundation Phase to Key Stage 5 age range and in classes of PMLD/SLD/ASD as required.
Teachers would be required to have knowledge of P Levels, the Foundation Phase, National Curriculum and recent Welsh curriculum developments and there will be an opportunity to Co-ordinate an area of learning for appropriate candidates.
All candidates are encouraged to visit the school and will be expected to teach a group of pupils as part of the interview procedure. Short-listed candidates will be notified of the details.

The ability to converse in Welsh is desirable.
