The Governors of Pil Primary School wish to appoint an excellent teacher with experience of teaching in the Foundation Phase to teach in our Reception class to cover a maternity leave.
Pil Primary School is a vibrant centre of learning; we have high expectations and strive for excellence. The successful candidate will be motivated to work effectively as part of an established team of professionals and be prepared to contribute to all aspects of school life.
Candidates need to be confident classroom practitioners who demonstrate a clear understanding of effective pedagogy thus ensuring all learners reach their full potential. The appointed teacher will need to demonstrate excellent classroom practice, be experienced in leading a curriculum subject and have recent experience and an in depth understanding of the Foundation Phase.
The appointed teacher will need to demonstrate the ability to work with children with additional learning needs, including children with General Learning Difficulties, Speech and Language delay and ASD.
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to school to teach a short lesson prior to interview.
Protecting children, young people or adults at risk is a core responsibility of all council employees.
Applicants should note that a criminal records check by the Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) will be necessary for the successful applicant.
