The Sensory Support Service is looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated teacher who ideally, holds the mandatory qualification for teacher of the Hearing Impaired.
The team provides direct teaching, support, advice and training for children with hearing impairments, their schools and parents from birth to 19 years, in homes, early years settings, mainstream schools and special schools across the Rhondda Cynon Taff area.
The successful applicant will ideally have recent experience of supporting children and young people who have hearing difficulties and may also have additional disabilities. You will need to be able to demonstrate a proven track record of excellent teaching & learning practice including supporting a range of learning styles, and a good knowledge of the national curriculum. You will ensure that the children and young people with a hearing impairment have full access to the curriculum and wider learning.
Ability to read, write and speak Welsh is essential for this post.
Team working and good ICT skills are essential. Applicants will be required to work in a variety of locations so must be willing and able to travel within the area in a timely and flexible manner
