Teacher of Art and Design Technology

Maternity cover, temporary, for up to one year full or part time
Bristol Free School is seeking an outstanding teacher to join our excellent Art department. Successful A Level Photography teaching is required and a recent track record of highly effective teaching in KS3 and 4, essential. There will also be a requirement to teach some Textiles in year 7 and 8 to support the Design Technology department. Training can be given if this is not the candidates’ specialism.
Bristol Free School opened in 2011 and is part of the Russell Education Trust. We have a particular reputation for the academic development of the most able, and those with SEND, and for our rich sporting, musical and cultural life. We work closely with the Trust, and within our professional community, to ensure teachers are well supported and have ample opportunity for professional development.
The school is heavily oversubscribed, admitting 200 children into Year 7 and up to 120 into Year 12 each September. Our light and modern buildings have benefited from further recent capital investment.
If you feel ready for this opportunity, we look forward to hearing from you.
